An inspection is a limited visual inspection of readily accessible components throughout the building and testing equipment or fixtures using normal controls. Our inspections begin in the interior with inspecting all of the windows, doors, floors, walls, ceilings, outlets, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, drains, tubs, toilets, showers and fireplaces. We will then test and inspect the heating/cooling system, plumbing system, electrical system and main panel box. Next, we will enter the attic to inspect the framing, insulation and accessible wiring. Then we will inspect the accessible foundation area walls, framing, plumbing and accessible wiring. Next, we will inspect the exterior finishing systems, doors, windows, and accompanying components. Lastly, we will inspect the grounds surrounding the building and review the roof coverings, chimney, flashing, guttering, and down spouts.
Wood destroying insects can cause significant damage to the structure of a home. Termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, and others consume organic construction materials in various stages of decomposition, and nest inside homes.
